Im sorry but if your on the coast and you drop a golf ball, depending on how high and how big the winds are, it might be pushed far enough to hit the ground ;)

They would both sink and eventually hit the ocean floor, which is by definition the ground.

well jax, that’s the trick. some people say the bowling ball, and others think they’ve figured out the trick and say both hit at the same time because objects accelerate the same regardless of mass.

even if it was over land… they would still hit at the same time, because objects fall with the same acceleration, regardless of mass :)
